I am a Structured Literacy tutor certified by Brainspring. The instruction I offer is based on the Orton Gillingham approach which is an effective way to teach students with dyslexia, reading difficulties and English Learners. My tutoring sessions are based on skills the child needs and are designed to build a strong foundation to reading. The content is presented explicitly, systematically and cumulative.
My tutoring sessions are online and the format of the lesson is as follow

READING PRACTICE AND COMPREHENSION

*during this time I dedicate time for oral language which is one of the key to readding success.
*ORAL LANGUAGE
These sessions are 1 hour long and I highly recommend a minimum of 2 hours a week to build consistency and reinforce learning.
